Town Select Program

Town Select Program

The Reading Select Lacrosse program is to provide an opportunity to play lacrosse at a higher, more competitive level than traditional “town” lacrosse provides, in order to further enhance player’s skills and prepare them for possibly playing at a higher level in the future. Players who wish to participate have determined that lacrosse will be their primary spring sport and agree to place an emphasis on lacrosse above other spring activities.

Players are required to attend practices and games for both their town lacrosse team and the select team.  Because of the competitive nature of the league in which Reading participates, the objective will be to field the best possible team at all times. In order to provide the best chance of success.    Playing time will not be equally distributed and playing time will be based on individual skill level in addition to conduct within the team, including attendance at town and select practices and games.  Teams will consist of approximately 20 players and tryouts and cuts will be conducted as needed.
